International Dark Sky Park

It’s situated in Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona. It is considered one of the most popular parks in the world indeed. Around five million visitors come to this park each year. There is most favorite event where there are astronomy programs and telescope viewing for free for amateur astronomers across the US. The event usually last eight days every June. 

Galloway Forest Park, UK

This place is designated in November 2009. There is the Scottish Dark Sky Observatory situated on the hill of the edge of this forest. To make better view of the Milky Way, you can use the telescope. There are two main of them you can use so you can see the objects in the sky better. However, you can also watch the dark sky with naked eyes. Cherry Springs State Park, Pennsylvania

Designated in June 2009, thousands visitors come to this place to enjoy the night sky at its finest. You can book night programs usually held on every Friday and Saturday during summer. During spring and autumn, the program is offered only on Saturday. You can see with naked eyes more than 10,000 stars in the night sky. The visibility is clear so you can stargaze as you please. 

Death Valley National Park, California

Designated in February 2013, it is considered the largest Dark Sky with a span of 13,700 square kilometers. Even though it is situated in the vicinity of LA, the sky has minimal lighting impact. Thus, you can see the sky clearly. Plan your visit for night sky events usually organized from November to April. You can also reach the highest area to truly enjoy the atmosphere during stargazing. Mahogany Flat Campground is the most favorite spot to stay overnight for stargazing.
