What You’d Find in Nightlife Bali Seminyak

The stylish Seminyak flourish with trendy boutique,“grammable” venues, luxurious retreats, chic hotspots, and classy dining restaurants that screams sophisticated beach life louder than any other area in Bali. The buzz hardly get ever dimmed once the sun sets—it only get started to dazzling after dark parties. Though you would find good parties in anywhere in Bali, Seminyak offers rather different nightlife scene compared to neighbouring Kuta, Legian, and Canggu. With its cultured vibe, Seminyak has very distinct nightlife characters that you won’t likely find in other parts of Bali. Here’s what nightlife Bali Seminyak looks like:

What You’d Find in Nightlife Bali Seminyak

    Upscale Nightlife Institution

A lot of clubs and lounges in Seminyak built with elegant interiors designs to lavish outdoor landscape, adorned with beachfront lawns or pools with daybeds facing the ocean. Seminyak’s famous Ku De Ta might be the best example for this category, with its main restaurant area, bar, and a huge lawn bordering the beachfront that lay right at the backyard of the restaurant, where night parties and all special events take place. The Double-Six rooftop, a signature to the same-name Double-six beach region, is famous for attracting the upmarket crowd to its rooftop lounge facing right to the surf. In the heart of Petingenget, the Mirror Lounge and Club stands proud as an exemplary bars which take its interior design to the next level. The bar gives strong “Halloween at Hogwarts” vibe with its high-ceiling, Gothic cathedral structure with stained glass window and blazing laser lights.

    Themed Bars and Restaurants

Here’s how you can really feel the difference of nightlife in Bali Seminyak differ from other regions on Bali. Seminyak is full of proud, exotic bars—owners who are willing to infuse their unique characters to their businesses. It’s the place where weird, thematic, and flashy bars glares its neon signs to the passing visitors. Yu might have heard of Motel Mexicola in Jalan Kayujati that made its name through its thick Miami slash Mexico vibes and brilliantly remixed old, nostalgic songs. Once the night darkens, Motel’s long restaurant tables and chairs in its mid-yard turned to be a shabby dance floor (yes, people actually dances ON the tables!), before taken away by Motel’s personnels nearing the midnight. Only few miles away from Motel are the weird and wonderful Sea Vu Play, another remarkable nightlife Bali Seminyak venue that’s so popular among the globetrotters. It’s colorful nautical theme, complete with illuminated palm trees, is like a tropical oasis in the congested Petingenget. While the seafood restaurant offers chill and easy hideout during the daylight, the venue quickly turned into a lively party that goes wild and wilder down the night with queer performance.

    Young and Energetic Crowds

The chic, trendy, and weird Seminyak are definitely a crowd-pull for the youth. A lot of “grammable” places are the real lure to teenagers and twenty-something travelers. The next thing you know, Seminyak is filled with people on their age that are eager to try anything new, weird, pushing their borders, and would likely take the chance for a long-haul barhopping and taste a bit of everything nightlife Bali Seminyak could offer.

A Setup for Hammock Camping in Cold Weather

You’re probably wondering why would anyone want to camp in a less than ideal season. Winter, for once. While the temperature and the climate are just far from ideal, the colder months do possess their very own charm. This would be the general setup on hammocking in the colder months.

A Setup for Hammock Camping in Cold Weather

Set up a four-season hammock tarp

Asymmetric tarps for one, would not be able to provide sufficient protection against the wind.

A full-coverage hammock tarp would be ideal for winter camping. The 4-season tarp would provide protection against the wind. It would look as if you have a flying fortress above the ground. Or a tent that is suspended mid-air.

    Hammock camping in cold: Insulate!

Even in a warmer climate, during the night, without a layer of under quilt, your backside is likely going to get the chill. So get all of the necessary insulation optimum for your winter camping trip. Get a top quilt as well, then a sleeping bag, you’re going to need the layers.

Add sleeping pad to your setup

Sleeping pads are not quite necessary in hammock camping especially since it’s comfy as it is without the pad. However, during the colder months, you’re going to have a use of the sleeping pad beyond just comfort. Sleeping pads add a layer of insulation to help your body heat from escaping. A sleeping pad is a solid addition to your sleeping bag for your overall hammock setup.

    Dress sufficiently for the weather

It may be uncomfortable to wear so many layers during your sleep. But aside from the insulation of your hammock, the protection for your body is crucial. Don’t forgo a good winter setup to keep your body warm. Wear thermal clothes for a good wicking layer. Then a comfortable sweater on top as an insulation layer. Afterwards, get an overcoat for a layer of protection against water, wind and other elements of the nature.

    Setup your camp strategically

Even the slightest wind can be very chilly. Make sure that you have surveyed the spot for your hammock camping well. Look for spots that would prevent the wind from chilling you to the bone. Camp where the wind is unlikely to blow so strong. It’s an excellent if you can find spot that has a natural barrier that discourages wind. Setup a camp near a boulder, choose a rather dense part of the forests—dense trees mean wind won’t be as strong—as well as avoid areas that are particularly damp.

The extra bits of good, warm things

The little things such as having hot water ready before you go to sleep made a difference. Prepare a hot water to wash your hand and face before you go to sleep. Have a warm cup of lemon or hot chocolate before you decided to call it a day. The warmth from the hot water and the beverage would help a lot. Consider bringing hand warmers as well. They provide an added comfort in chilly weathers. And they could feel particularly good during a camp out.

Are Hammocks Really More Affordable than Tent?

Price is a crucial factor to those who had just started out hammock camping—or any form of camping at all. The price comparison to tents is one of the advantages of hammock camping had often been cited by so many hammock campers out there.

What are some of the things you can look out when it comes to the affordability of hammock camping?

One of the most popular claims of hammock camping: it is cheaper than a tent!

Which most affordable between hammocks and tent?

Ask most of the cult-followers of hammocks anywhere. Whether it’s on online forums or your neighbors, one of the most frequent ideas they would tell you is that hammock camping is cheaper. Especially compared to tent camping. But is that all there is to it?

The price of a single hammock

Observing the price of a single hammock, it is easy to conclude that so many hammocks are so much cheaper than a tent. However, there’s more to it. A good single hammock can cost around $50.

Compared to the price of a one to two person tent, which can cost around $150 and above, at a glance, this is a significant price advantage. Obviously, it does not stop there.

There are more to consider when it comes to calculating the cost of hammock camping compared to its most popular counterpart. A significant factor includes the number of people hammocking in your camping group.

    Taking weight into consideration

The lightness of hammock is one of the most attractive points for campers that made hammock as popular as it is now. The weight of a hammock only, compared to tents, is incomparably lighter than a tent setup.

Aside from the ease and its portability, when you’re backpacking overseas and decided to camp with your hammock, the weight of your gears matter a lot.

However, you do need to remember that hammock camping would likely require accessories you probably couldn’t camp without. Those accessories include mosquito nets and tarps to protect you from the weather.

You would not be able to camp in so many places without some sort of protection from the natural elements.

When it comes down to it, everything depends

It’s a no-answer, “It depends.” But the truth is, when it comes to price, it does depend on numerous factor. How many people you’re traveling with matters to the expenses.

Hammocks are initially created as one-person bedding. Comfort is often dictated by the number of people inside one hammock. If you travel in a group of five and each person has their very own complete hammock set, compared to the equivalent of a tent; how much would it cost?

    No hammocks are created equal

Just as no tent and no camping equipment are created equal. There is a lot to take into consideration.

There’s hammock manufacturers’ identity; their branding, and the loyalty of the customers, for one. There are also certain hammock manufacturers that sell only high-end hammocks for those who can splurge on their hammock endeavor.

You can only compare once you’ve tried both

Who can only compare when it comes to expenses for hammock camping and tent camping? People who have done both, of course!

But perhaps, moreover, it’s those people who have done both and they chose an approximately similar range of both hammocks and tents. Try to browse around and check out several manufacturers you can compare.

Where Would The Luxury Villas Seminyak You Like To Stay In?

If you have been wondering about how many luxury villas Seminyak are existing until today, then I will only give you an answer in one word; Overchoice! Don’t trust me in that, simply see the recent villa offers I just got from Google Maps below.

There are so many existing luxury villas at Seminyak

If you are a traveler and visiting Bali, there is a big chance that you will be interesting to stay at Seminyak since it is a great place for the luxurious beach life.

As I have been doing observation and reading many references how Bali tourism is affecting the accommodation business, villas themselves are dominating the Seminyak area. Sounds like a good thing? Not that good!

Sud but true, no matter how luxury the villas are at Seminyak, they are contributing in environmental degradation. But don’t blame the villas, if the hotels will be dominating as well in one day, they will also be the worst case the area has ever had.

But surely you are not here to know about the environment things though they will be important for your accommodation as well. You are here because you don’t know which luxury villas at Seminyak should be rented for your accommodation, aren’t you?

I won’t say a brand for that, but I will show you how to get the luxury villas Seminyak that is located around the beach and in affordable price.

The first thing you will need to do is to ensure that you have been determined the most expensive price you are affordable to pay for the villa. That will be a “filter” for the reservation sites you are going to visit and comparing each villas as you need.

The next thing you have to do is that; it is always better if you are looking for the luxury villas at Seminyak that is also situated around the beach. The closer the villa to the beach mostly will be the most expensive one. But it doesn’t always like that.

You can even still get a one bedroom villa or the 2 bedroom in a US$150 to US$350 per night (24 hour). If that quiet affordable for you, feel free to finds one. Many foreign travellers are doing that and I think for most of them, that price range is still cheaper than what most of the Balinese is thinking.

Renting the luxury villas at Seminyak with such price range will also allowing you to get 1 or 2 bedrooms villa with private pool. I won’t mention about the other facilities and amenities since I think you will need them all. But I ensure you that you will get the villas with enough or even big space.

You can also get the villa that actually has its own restaurant and even bar so you can take advantages of your staying. You may will get promos or special access for that.

The last thing you can do is that it is better for your safety to finds a villa at Seminyak that is also closer to the main road. Getting too far through the small and narrow alleyway will give you troublesome such as chased by the dog if you are afraid of it, reducing your own level of security in case there will be someone following you, the car you may rented couldn’t take you to the villa since the road in so small or hard to find the turn-around way, etc.

But if you are getting the luxury villas at Seminyak that are closer to the main road or street, you are free to access anything.

You are not the first person to do it anyway. You may have friend who did it before you and they came back home just fine in one piece. If they can do it so do you. How Tourism in Bali Affecting the Design of A Website?

Bali is popular for its tourism in the world. Travellers are coming and going every single day for many purposes; doing businesses, visiting destinations, researches and many more. As there is a high potential market that is targeting the travellers, many businessmen are using the websites and trying to reach them all.

If you are looking for the online news or information that covering all about Bali, it is almost impossible that the sites you are going to click and read won’t want to talk about the existing tourism. That’s what Bali is for; tourism has been becoming the vein of the province since a long time ago and that’s all how most of us knowing about it.

Does it even possible to correlate the tourism in Bali and how the websites are designed?

If you are doing a small research about the sites that are focusing on tourism topic in Bali, there is a big chance you will find out that many of the website designs are focusing on graphic files such as images and videos that are offering products and services.

Accommodation offer site design to support tourism in Bali
Accommodation offer in Bali with elegant images as the main content.

The first reason for that can be caused by there are so many tour and travel operators that are offering their business to customers (potential travellers). And it can also because of using images and videos to offer the products and services is always the best thing the businessmen can do through their sites.

Therefore, you can say that you mostly won’t found sites with the rigid colour combination since many of the contents or pages will be so beautiful and make you spend more times in the site you have clicked before.

So, yes it is really correlates when the tourism in Bali is affecting how the websites will be designed base on what the most content types will be dominated the sites. Images and videos are the two different content types that can be the main content of a site and will also be the main supports to make a page looks interested to be seen and read.

While images and videos are displayed by the certain dimensions or sizes, later this will also be affecting how the site will be designed especially the width of a site as a whole or for certain pages.

From what I have seen and researched, marketing the tourism in Bali is also means to provide more images and videos to make the travellers want more about the tour products and services. If most of the businessmen are taking advantage of them, it is not impossible if the interesting website design will be contributing in encourage the site visitors to take an action as the businessman need.

If you are offering the travel packages through website, its design is possible to affecting the visitors judgement about how professional your business is.

But, there is as well a challenge especially for the website designers in Bali which is, the more businessmen are using the websites to market their travel businesses, the web designers should also be more creative to make a different and unique web design.

So that, you have to carefully decide where your travel business website design Bali will be made because finding and hiring the professional and experienced web designers are the important things to do and can also be challenged since there are various offers for that.

In the meantime, now you have seen how big the tourism is affecting another aspect of a business where its small part just like its web design is also influenced by it.

Tips For Going Solo In A Trip To The Wild For First Time

Dreams are meant to be followed and realised. And I am sure that you will do many things to ensure that all of the dreams that you think can bring you happiness are the worth trying struggles. So does a solo trip into the wild that has its own charm and interest to be an “ode” for many of passionate travellers out there.

For those who have been watched the 2007’s movie “Into the Wild” ago, no matter how sad the scenes were to be alone and independent in the jungle, I am sure that many travellers are inspired by how beautiful to lived up such life in a bus that somehow confused me how it could be there.

Tips for going solo in a trip into the wild for the first time in life

But, in case you won’t want to get a sad ending as what the roles played by Sean Penn, especially when you are going solo for that kind of trip, you will really need the tips for that.

Tips for solo travellers to go into the wild for the first time

Now, that movie has been giving us life and trip lessons that we can take advantages of it. Many travellers and adventurers since long ago are actually have been telling us many things but sometimes we are forgetting about the lessons. That’s what the human being is doing. We are forgetting things that sometimes they are so valuable for life.

Therefore, I am here not to teach you what the things you have never heard and known before. But to remind you what you have been actually known before and can be one or two aspects of travelling into the wild that you have not been experienced before especially if you are the first timer solo adventurer.

    So, here we go.

    1. Travel budgeting is still as important as before.

Right before you are stepping out of your living, you will still need a budget for your solo trip even though you are going into the wild to buy all of the gears and tools you will need. There is no free lunch! So you will also need to buy your own foods and drinks, first aid kits and many more.

So, you’d better good in prepare your money before and spending them in the right place. I won’t dig a bit deeper to explain this, you will really know what to do with that.

    2. Gain more references to prepare yourself and possible to bring along your way into the wild.

One of the interesting thing that I keep on remembering until today about the “Into the Wild” movie is that; Sean Penn was bringing the survival book and keep on reading about it.

It means that if you want to be in the jungle and adventuring by your own, you have to be well prepared yourself about how to survive. The weather can be changed drastically and many things could happen, so that, when you will run out of foods and drinks, or when you will accidentally hurt yourself, you have to deal with them all by yourself.

And you have to deal with all the circumstances very well.

Therefore, you need to educate yourself before about the place you are going to as it is the basic thing everyone’s doing before travelling. You can also bring relevant books for that if you think that will be possible for you to take. While it can help you gain more information along the way, it can also be a good thing to bring for spending your times in the wild.

Besides the book, today we have been also provided the best gadget ever such mobile phone where you can access information or reading the survival e-books at your destinations.

    3. Keep your trip lightweight!

You won’t want to be exhausted along the way just because of what you have brought in your backpack, right? So that, packing your luggage is also important.

Bring the lightweight items in the backpack for going in a solo trip into the wild

For that, I am going to tell you that you will only need the two things which are “what you will really need?” and “how to survive?” That’s all. No matter how beautiful the journey you are taking, the beautiful thing you will need to make sure is that your own safety and then your comfort.

Adventuring into the wild for solo traveller take big courages and preparations, so that, keep in mind that there will still your families and friends that are waiting you at home.

If you can get more lightweight items in your backpack, I am the one who are believing that will be a safe and comfort thing you have been started. And to know how you can do it, you’d better start looking for the relevant packing inspirations and planning about the items you will bring.

    4. If you are planning to get a trip into the wild alone, do you know where you are going to rest and sleep?

Far different by travelling to the city or any other crowded destinations where there are more accommodation offers that can be easily to find, getting into the wild mostly requiring you to prepare your own shelter.

If you have been searched and none of the accommodation are available and even you can be the only person at the area you are going to, thinking about a place to sleep and rest in the last destination or spot is also vital.

And since you are planning to get into the wild by going solo for the first time ever, you will really need the place to sleep in comfort and safety way. For that, you may need to spend you budget for a tent even though I will prefer to recommending you to get the single hammock as it is also an item that is lightweight and getting rid off some hassles you can get by using a tent.

    5. How can you reach your family or the rescue team if you are in an emergency?

Even though you have got a high-end mobile phone’s technology on your hands, the cellphone and internet signal might be reached your destination in the forest, what will be the other ways you can do to call the family and rescue team if in case you are in a sudden emergency circumstances?

I am included the family as we mostly think that they will be the first people we are going to to contact when we need a help, so does the rescue team or the rangers.

Your phone can be running out of battery so does the extra power you brings for it. So that, the other “communication” options should be planned as well. I don’t know if you will need a handy talky or not that can reaches miles away, but if that will be the only choice you have, then it is deserves to be thinking about.
